Default A couple of firsts in the first couple of days of the year.

The wife and I went fishing for our New Year’s Day date in our kayaks and caught 15 crappie and a little dink largejaw. All were caught on jigs casting. Today I had a couple hours to kill and decided to try vertical jigging a fallen tree in a local pond. Ended up catching my personal best black 12”, and a couple more 8” and 9”. I hope the year continues to get better.Name: IMG_1042.jpg

Looks like a good time. Cooler months are so much easier with the lower boat traffic. Y’all enjoy.
