Good job bee
Well i got done with open water about 10 days ago. Some folks have asked for some pics from the hard side. Well today the water is hard. Went along and i do not recall ever in my 74 years getting on the ice this early. I had two inches so on i went. I was alone and slowly picked my way out. It was good fishing. I put about 25 top side. Had some 12-14 inch slabs that i sent back. I kept some lesser size ones and some yellows and one lonly small Pike. It was a nice start to what with this global warming will be about five months on the ice.
Good job bee
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I would be too scared to go out on 2” of ice! Only time I was ever ice fishing the ice was 3’ thick!
Awesome looking mess of fish there. Beware of the global warming

Nothing wrong with getting into some jumbo perch, they taste like a cross between my 2 favorite fresh water species Walleye & Crappie, thanks for sharing..you've taken my taste buds back to some fond memories...

Great bunch of fish! I never became interested in ice fishing, but if you can catch crappie like that, I just might have to give it a whirl. That is on a sunny, warm, calm wind day!
