Another nice feature is the transducer trade in, I bought mine for the font, and sent in the transom mount xducer and for $5.00 they sent me the trolling motor mount one.
crichison -- you can't buy the 565 with a troll motor xducer with temp ??

Just my 2cents , but. I would buy a cheap Eagle Cuda and a Garmin ETREX GPS and spend the rest on fishing gear. I use these and find my stumps and brush piles with ease. I have my transducer on my trolling motor. The hand help GPS means I can also take it with other boats or hunting.:D

I have a Eagle 320 and works great and way under $300.00........ has no GPS but I have a Garmin hand held $99.00 that holds 500 waypoints.... when I go fishing with my crappie buddies I can mark new spots NO PROBLEM.....

I just bought a eagle fishmark 160 for the front of the boat for $89 from cabelas. It has a big screen for the $ and is easy to use. Only thing I dont like is it dosent keep a memory of most your settings when you turn it off.

I'm not sure if you can buy it with the trolling motor xducer directly from a retailer or not. BPS only had it with the transom mount xducer. They do sell a conversion kit so you can mount the transom one on the trolling motor. I elected to trade it in and get the one designed for the troll motor. Both setups have temp.
