I use an Ultra 126 with livescope but prefer the HB Solix for side and down imaging. I seem to get better images with the HB on side and down imaging that I do with my Ultra 126. It could be that the more expensive garmin display would change my mind but I don't see me buying the more expensive garmin units to find out.
I agree that keeping 11-12 inch fish while releasing the larger fish is the best conservation practice. I have been releasing 14 inch and larger crappie but perhaps 13 incha and larger would be better.
I actually think the size limit should be lowered to 8 inches with a 8-10 inch slot limit for keepers would be better for the crappie population. That would remove more of the small crappie from lakes like Joe Pool and allow more crappie to grow to a larger size.
