Default Prayers for SW Tennessee/ N Mississippi

Don't know what the news showed, but we had a severe wind event this Saturday evening. Even a death in Adamsville as a man was trying to retrieve his dog in his yard. A large tree fell on him. I come from south Louisiana and have been through numerous hurricanes. This looks like the same. Many huge trees uprooted and broken down. Power poles broken, wires on ground. Some were hot for a while. Days to weeks for electricity in some areas. May roads blocked. Many houses and businesses with damage and trees on them. The people around here have already been busting tail to get the roads cleared and damage cleaned up. I myself had no damage, but picked up, cut and hauled off 2 trailers of branches from my neighbors yard. This will be ongoing for a while. My other neighbor owns a restaurant on the Tennessee river that sustained significant damage. It hasn't been very long from the flood damage repairs of earlier this year. Anyway, just thought I would ask for a few prayers for the people of this area. It has been a tough year. Thanks, "D"

We in La. know well the effects of such weather. This storm came right over Houma but it wasn't until it got north of us that it picked up steam. We had winds to 39 reported but just a little north at Hammond they recorded 71. The weatherman said that the storm drew down some upper level winds that were really strong. It's a rare occasion that such a thing happens. The strong winds usually stay well up in the sky.

By all means you folks will be in our prayers.
