Exclamation Let's make 2020 the best year ever, with 100 acts of random kindness - CHALLENGE

So I was driving to the airport to pick up wifey, and had this idea. I'm not real sure about all the details, but I'd like to do something to make life in general, a little better, kinder, more family friendly.

For the year 2020, I want to challenge our members to perform 100 acts of random kindness.

I would like them to document their kind adventures on a calendar, maybe a Crappie.com calendar . 100 kind acts documented on the day performed on a calendar. How cool will this be.

You can buy a calendar, or you can accept the challenge via a PM to me, and I'll mail you one free.

You can even use your own calendar, cause it's really not about the calendar, it's about kindness.

I'm not sure how this is going to go as far as winning the challenge, but I'd like to give everyone that actually mails me their completed calendar a prize. And as of this point, I'll commit $1000 of prizes to this challenge. So if 10 people complete it, they will each receive a $100 prize pack. I may make it $2000 real soon after I speak with some sponsors, who knows, maybe more...

That's how we'll start it off. If anyone would to contribute anything, we will add it to the prizes distributed, and we will give them credit too, if so desired. We will develop more details as we figure this all out.

Disclaimer: Prizes and rules subject to change without notice. We're kinda winging this one anyway.

I am ahead of you my friend , I was buying a six pack two days ago and the lady in line behind me had 2 gallons of milk and was counting her change ….I told the cashier I got this and I got that as well ….
I am the random act kindness guy and even though I am sometimes put down for it and or see something that makes me sad about my contribution I continue on making my heart warm and sometimes others as well .

I do 100 acts of kindness daily. It is called my "Honey Do "list and helping out at the Senior Citizen center five days each week. This is a great idea Ed. If you believe then no proof is necessary. If you do not believe then no proof will be sufficient. I would hope all of the crappie dot com members are doing acts of kindness for others.

When it comes to lurecraft and fishing I am always dreaming of the next challenge. God said "Brains" and I thought He said "Trains" so I was standing in the wrong line and I missed them both. I found out I was in the lovetofishforcrappieline and I never looked back. I am thankful to all of my friends here on crappie dot com for all of their helpful advice over these last 14 years. As my 1st official random act of kindness I want to mention a few who have been especially helpful to me on this site: Slab, Spoonminnow, "G", Snake River, Special K, H2oHammer, JamesDean, Skiptomylu, Skeetbum, Chaunc, CrappiePappy, Mr. Crappie, DB4D and Richard Gene the fishing machine. There are so many more that I could name but If I did not mention YOUR NAME charge it to my head and not to my heart.

Great idea, I personally like to think that most of the members are already doing this as CDC members are a special class of people. I have tried to never brag about helping others, I will get my praise when it's over and I meet my maker.

Slab, you are to be commended for the idea and your willingness to express it. There are many who share some of the same sentiments expressed in the first five or six responses to your post. For many of us, we prefer to not "let the right hand know what the left is doing". The only prize I would want would come from the command to "love my neighbor". May I offer an alternative idea. Let us each decide that starting on November 1st we agree to be a diligent viewer of the forum, that pick out those just joining the forum, or those struggling to become proficient, or those needing a helping hand (the list could go on and on) and that we address that need with a greater commitment than we ever have. Be it a prayer, a phone call, a pack of jigs, and old fish finder no longer in use, a rod that just gets left behind each trip........

Those are acts of kindness....and if this only gets people thinking about being kind, then I've done my job.....Don't forget, if you participate in this, then you'll also inspire others, you don't need to keep kindness under your hat, displaying it does inspire too...
