I don't know your particular situation: If you've never been checked for sleep apnea... I suffered with the same sleeping problems that you and spoon mention and came to find out by way of a sleep study that I had obstructive sleep apnea, which caused me snore and to never get into a sound sleep... only achieve a much shallower and non restful sleep... from which I woke up every hour or so; which left me feeling tired and unrested during the day until I got a CPAP machine. After the CPAP machine... I begin to get 7 or 8 hours of deep and restorative sleep and began to feel like a new man. It is truly unbelievable what difference the CPAP machine and a full night of restorative sleep makes.

Too bad Rob about the PTSD. Missed going to Nam by one day - order canceled at the last minute and happily spent my tour near Wichita Falls, Texas at a base near the Red River and some nice nearby lakes. Too bad I didn't know much about fishing then though I did well with live bait and caught nice crappie at night for the first with the colonel (my CO) and his son on his boat. Wish we kept in touch like with some of the other great guys in my unit - all who loved to fish. (very few where I've lived since including Fl.)
You're right K - when I woke in post op I almost kissed the surgeon but I figured it might be a bit uncomfortable having to see him once a week for the next three. He got a kick out of my glowing comment on his Facebook page as did his office staff. Better to find out what he likes to drink. LOL Looking forward to cataract surgery and not having to wear glasses after 60 years though he said not for some time. Good thing he's young and not going anywhere. Good doctors are hard to find.
