Bruh ..... you have no idea how much I used to thrive on dinky Crappie biting my jig offerings

Back a decade or two there was a big downed tree not 100ft to the side of a ramp at a local lake I fish. Top was in about 25fow and it would have a large school of Crappie on it, year around, and most often they'd be sub-legal by an inch or more. Still, knowing that was the usual case, I/we would hit that tree right after launching. Reason being twofold ... first off, if they were there and biting there was a chance that keeper fish were biting in some of the other downed tree spots that were on my routine spot jumping route. Secondly, because it could be several to many weeks in between fishing trips, I used those dinks to hone my skills &/or get the rust off my hookset reaction time (&/or my partner's).

I still don't mind, too much, getting into a school of dinks when casting jigs .... but, when Pushing jigs or cranks, not so much

all crappie are in danger of me ketchn them if I can get a jig in front of them , this is who I am and it dont matter to me what size they are . I prefer larger crappie as do most folks but to be sure small ones are entertaining to me as well .
and as stated above every crappie landed is a tip on how to ketch the next one , no matter the size

I’m with you on that. Last week I caught 40 and it was a blast feeling each thump and setting the hook. Only couple of any size but entered my memory as a really fun good day!!
