St Croix or G Loomis
Pflueger President
But with an 1/8 oz. and 25 ft. deep I would use a light action not UL and a 6ft. rod. JMHO

I'd highly recommend the small, light #6920 Pflueger President for the reel. I have 4 now. They are bullet proof, cost effective (around $50.00) and they handle most 2# & 4# test lines very well, especially if using braid for the main line with a fluorocarbon leader (which I do on all my rigs).
I'm also partial to the B n' M line of rods. I have four of those as well. They do make UL rods, but I'd highly recommend you looking at the 7' Sam Heaton Super Sensitive (commonly referred to as the SHSS) rod. Again, very cost effective at around $50.00 as well. I also like their 9' rods with the above reels. They cast extremely well. I've used this equipment for several years now. Very reliable and sensitive for panfish & crappie.
The Grizzly Jig Company usually has the best pricing on these items. You'd be hard pressed to do better in my opinion.

The TICA 7' trolling rod with the Pflueger 6920 is a good set up. In light action with a fast action tip!
