From experience here, they just keep COMING BACK in larger numbers. Need a better mousetrap!!
That’s just wild!
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

That was filmed on the Cumberland River right at Barkley Dam. That is why everybody is working to keep them out of the lakes as much as possible. Just below the filming position is the entry to the navigation locks. Right now the carp enter the locks then the lakes each time the locks are operated. The Corps of Engineers is installing an experimental underwater system that releases bubbles and flashes lights when the gates from the river to the lake are opened. Tests show the system to be up to 70% effective at keeping the carp from entering the locks. Fingers crossed!

I don't get why they haven't tried to used a Shrimp boat, they would be able to pull out tons a day. Yes they will catch other game fish but do short drags and cull the native fish. Money is being spent so mine as well make it effective.

I thought about that, myself .... but then knowing KY & Barkley Lakes, being shallow & stump infested in places, a Shrimp Boat dragging a net around wouldn't work very well, I don't think. Also, one has to remember the draft on some of those boats is >10ft below the water line.
