Nice step-by-step! Good photography too.
Took me a couple tries to teach my son last weekend - probably could have done it quicker with pictures.
For those of you who have never cleaned a fish here is one way of doing it.

My dad took me out and had me catch about 40 pearch and practice and did this 3 or 4 times before he let me do it on any other fish.
Do you cut the ribcage bones out?
greatthosu look at 4th pick close
retired and now i will always fish
That's the way I like doing it. It sure beats scaling them.
That is easier than the way I do it, but, I like to scale them first. rinse the loose scales off, then cut the filet off, but cut around the rib cage, avoiding cutting into the entrails. Then I remove the skin the same way. This takes longer, but, is a whole lot less messy. This also doesn't dull my knife as fast.
Where is the the plug in for the electric knife
Yes, I just slide the blade between the ribs and meat and slice it off.Originally Posted by greatthosu
