And she said it more than once !
took my wife and little one to visit the dock over at Ed's place last week .
told her the water went down some and we can just tip toe thru the mud to the dock now .
the little refused to ketch fish and begged to swim but the water isn't where we want it for that just yet .
no worries ipad to the rescue and she watched her Barbie videos and let momma hurt the fish .
no mind you mom aint a beginner on crappie and she has had a few tips passed to her from an individual on how to ketch said fish in said conditions .
so we dangled jigs and managed a fair number even though it was a pretty slow bite .
mom opted for purple as her jig color as she said it was pretty .
and she didn't like the summer grasshopper she started with .
no real big fish made it to the top except a nice one she lost on the surface and to be sure she seemed to ketch quite possibly more than I did ,and that in turn made Ed quite happy as well
I used a handtie and a chart plastic most of the time and the rest of the crew mostly fished for bream and catfish .
she got her a sandbass first drop (her first one ever) and I kindly explained that wasn't the fish of choice and she said I never even saw one of those before and I said that was always my intention my dear .
we let most of the crappie go and gave a few to another guest who wanted to keep some .
left right before dark and got there pretty late in the afternoon but it was fun for sure .
thanks Ed for the opportunity to ketch a few and hope you enjoyed those from scratch refried beans
p.s. I did get lucky and managed the smallest of the fish that trip as well , good times and great laughs for sure
