I'd have to pass on going with anyone, but would love to have my dear old Lab mix back with me for one more trip. I have too many memories of taking him out in the 'ol 14' Aluminum V pushed by a 62 model 9.9 Evinrude. That dog would hunt anything I put him on, retrieve bobbers floating off, be extremely still while bow hunting, play ball, frisbee, get my slippers, lick my feet, bring a cold one from the fridge. I used to have to tell him to "get up there", meaning to the front of the boat to trim it out for us so we could go faster. I could live 100 lifetimes and never come across another dog so smart. My Ex would be lucky if she was half as smart as that dog.
But, if I had to choose a person, I think I would choose my neighbor that took me Crappie fishing so much as a young boy. He also taught me how to pour jigs and tie. He's still alive, think I'll look him up and book a trip with him.
