Pay attension to clam beds for any spawning fish. Anytime i come across clam beds i mark them with a waypoint or mark on a map.I have caught large bluegill and crappie on clear lake spawning 8 t0 10 feet deep on clam beds. Knock the silt off of clam beds and you will find the perfect composition of sand and marl for spawning beds. It makes it alot easier to fan beds.
