Bad bulbs or ground issue. Tail light filaments are not the same as brake/turn on bulbs like 1157. I hooked my trailer up Friday to head to the lake and had zero lights. I found broken ground to trailer in main harness.
What can be wrong? Brake lights work, turn signals work, tail lights don't work. I can't figure it out.

Most newer trucks have separate trailer light fuses. It's probably those. Since it's a Ford you'll have to sort through the manual to find them.

Exactly right....I learned that the hard way...spent three days working on it...then I found out separate fuses for trailer lights in another location on vehicle. Should be a black box under the hood that says MAIN LOAD CENTER....take the top of of it....panel has individual fuses for everything.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I had the same issue in the past and it was the ground wire!
