Cane Pole, you have that thing tricked out nice! We are keeping our Lund for the bigger waters, so I won't load the Alumacraft up with too much bling. Mac Daddy may track me down and pull my "crappie card", but we have some amazing trout waters within 30-45 minutes of the house and Pam really enjoys fishing for them, as do I. We've been renting boats for our trout outings. I also want to tackle the walleye bite that's within 10 minutes, and can't get the Lund on those waters. My only fear with doing this is that I have been having so much fun chasing feral hogs and they are in constant supply around here. I'll need to ensure I step away from the piggies to fish more. Heck, I built a shop this winter with a 8x8 walk-in cooler just for keeping the hog carcasses cool. I am truly blessed to have all of these options so near me, including Sardis, which is 3 hours away!!!!!

I don’t know if the photo above will work, but mine is a 1448 NCS. It is set up multi purpose fishing but I’ve been really happy with it. A little under powered with a 15HP Johnson, but i didn’t buy it for skiing.

I think you will love the boat Brother. What part of Arkansas are you in. I have a place close to Brinkley Arkansas.

    Cane Pole,

Is the Jon as stable as I think it will be? Pam is pretty clumsy and we’ve tipped in a small boat before. Lost a nice St. Croix Avid over the side... 😭

not too bad for a 14 ft boat. brenda and i are in our latter 70s and still get out in it and we aint ballerinas. i added stick steer so we didn't have to swap seats. she had a shoulder replacement and cannot run the tiller anymore. she hates using troll motor.

Cane Pole, would you happen to have a neighbor named Max Omar? He has a big get together every August for my wife's family and I'm pretty sure I've seen your boat. It's a neat rig!

Closed the deal today. Got the 20hp Yamaha and a 55lb Edge. Alumacraft told dealer they are discontinuing this model. I told dealer I want to pick it up on 2/16. I called my dad up in Illinois and told him about Pam’s latest purchase. He asked if I got rid of the Lund. When I confirmed that I did not, he asked me if I was starting my own navy. It was funny coming from an 88-year old man...
