Once it gets water logged it should hold unless you put them in an area with high current......
    They'll be good structure.....

You can purchase empty sand bags by the 100 for under $40.00. They generally weigh around 50 pounds when filled and don’t leave a mess in the boat.

I saw it on a YouTube video and tried it. Works great. I usually carry 25 or so bags in the boat. With the lake being high I don’t even have to cut anything. Just pick out a good looking tree that has floated down the river and sink it.

Extra effort always brings yield to the one willing to put the effort forth... and that's the way it should be. It will always take some amount of long term testing and some trial and error to determine the "what and how" of the thing. Good luck with your prototype fishing structure.

I would remove the crossed pieces and the horizontals, just to make it easier to swim a jig through it.

This is my jon boat with three structure I was ready to sink.

I took them to the bank near where I would be placing them and unloaded two of them so I would have room to work. Still the size of the structure and weight was a hassle after dumping the first and going back to wrestle the next onto my boat. The next day I ordered 100 sandbags to cut down on cost and hopefully make the job easier.

While looking at vids of different brush piles I came across this one. Anyone else tried this? I plan to put a few sand bags on the main post to sink it.

The wood frame is basically the same as what I have and I believe being able to put them together on the water will be a plus. I haven't tried it yet but I believe I can put more than three disassembled structures in the truck bed plus one ready to put together in the boat.

You need a dumper if you want to do many like that. Here is a another member putting some out similar to yours. We have a similar one our boat we put beds out with.
