I used the 13 Fishing coconut crab (purple rain color) and caught over 47 bluegills (2 trips) with the same one and still in useable condition for another trip. Yeap they are expensive even when I got em on sale --- 6 for $3.49

I use the Bobby Garland shad baits all the time. But when I say they wouldn't take anything else, that's what I mean. I already tossed Bobby Garlands at them (including pared down versions), Road Runners, twisty tails, maribous, skirts, etc. This one particular jig body is the one they really wanted this go around. I think because they are already full of shad, they want only a little snack, not the whole fish, or even close to the whole fish.

Before I spend my Christmas bonus on an order of them, do you mind telling what size jig you were using & how you were fishing them?
    Thanks

LOL. Not at all. I put them on a 1/64 oz ball type lead jig head. Then I put a crappie nibble on it. However, I am considering getting out my coke mirror and razor and cutting the nibbles in half. They seemed a bit too large for this application, but it still worked. Anyway, then I put the jig about 15-20 yards behind the boat and dragged it over the fish at .5 to .75mph using the electric trolling motor. These fish are only down 3-8 feet in 50 degree water. But I suspect a vertical presentation will work, when it's time to switch to that style of presentation. Just need a split shot or something to get it down to them in 30' of water.

Those baits are very similar to a some of the Ajing / Mebaru soft plastics out of Japan. That doesn’t surprise me as 13 Fishing is out of Australia and they use a lot of the Japanese micro plastics there, and maybe they wanted baits modeled after the Japanese micro lures. Micro jigs catch fish no doubt. I fish a Trout Magnet for all my fishing and it is even smaller than the 13 Fishing Jeffrey bait....also use the 1/64 ounce jig head with a #6 hook or smaller. If one tips with a Crappie Nibble you may find it is too large and can interfere with the action of the lure. I used to use Nibbles but never really liked the fact they came off so easy. So now I use a tiny piece of a Berkley Power Wiggler. I cut the whole pack into tiny pieces and then put them in an old Crappie Nibble jar. This works...in my opinion....just as well if not better than using a Crappie Nibble.....especially for micro jigs. Here is pic of the set up on a 1/64 ounce jig head with a #10 hook. Using this setup I caught somewhere around 500 crappie over the last 5 weeks in about 10 trips. The micro jig head....a micro plastic....and the Power Wiggler setup can be deadly. I don’t post much on the main board but you can see the results of using the Power Wiggler setup on my YouTube channel “TroutMagnetMan” if you care to. The Power Wiggler setup is just another option.
