My hands get cold easy, when I go fishing and if its cold enough to need gloves I uses the heavy duty black nitrile gloves (from harbor freight) and I have a cheaper pair of mechanic gloves( also harbor freight on sale around 4.00) that I cut the fingers off just above the first finger joint that I wear over those.

Works well for me, is very inexpensive and with this combination with the nitrile gloves I can still tie a fishing line or if I need to hand land a fish my hands still stay dry.

I use leather insulated thinsulate gloves. Line slides right off while casting a spinning rod.

Wool gloves with no fingertips works for me. I have to be able to touch the line and reel with bare fingers. I can always put my hands, one at a time, in my pockets if it is colder. Being in central Texas does have its winter benefits.

Gloves and fishing don't mix. I use my pockets.

rag wool over surgical gloves .they slip off and on real easy when you catch a fish.have a towel to dry surgical gloves after taking fish off.works for me. it helps to keep fingers from cracking and drying out from fish slime.

I fish a lot of wintertime bass tournaments so I'm casting the whole time. The glove that allows me to feel everything, easily cast plus keeps my hands warm are golf gloves. I do keep some surgical gloves in the boat to wear under the golf gloves for rain.

When I lived up north I used wool without fingertips that had a "pocket" to tuck the fingers in when not using, worked pretty well. Then I moved to Florida, been trying to figure out how to cool off ever since.

I had considered those. I had actually looked for an insulated golf glove.
