I have met members in a BPS in Memphis, TN and another in another outdoors store west of St Louis, Mo. Several of us members gathered and started the Middle Tennessee Crappie Club which I have since relocated away from. This is my second family and I take offense that someone could make the statement that it was becoming the “Dig Me” show by promoting things or services within the community. In years past I have been involved in clay targets and attended several tournaments and championship events. At these events were trailers holding vendors, repair shops, endless accessories and services including instructors and other shooting facilities. I found all of this to be a gold mine of information as everyone there was also glad to answer any questions that this rookie had. I found it a very big plus to be able to handle and understand the different gear that could make me better at what I was wanting to learn. Sponsors and vendors and guides do nothing to detract from any Crappie.com event but they do enrich it in many ways. I’ll get off my soap box now but want to close by saying “ROCK ON” to Slab and all of those who take their time and effort to organize these camps and simple gatherings. I leave them a much happier and light hearted person and it takes quite a few days for me to wipe the smile from my face........Skeet
I should have known you were a shooter. #Me too. I shot competition 12/20 in the 70's - 80's. Had SKB O/Us. Still have the 12ga SKB. I still shoot on occasion to show off to the youngsters around town. We have a great competition range here. High school and college competitions are held here. Folk's come from all over N America. Getting expensive though.

I spend more time dock shooting now than skeet shooting. Dock shootin don't bruise shoulder so much.

Went today for a couple of hours Tom. The clay bug has bitten me yet again. We have a a great club not too far away and some of the sporting clays isn’t set up for the pros but the ham and eggers like me. Good fun for little money. Will talk about it more when I’m not hijacking someone’s thread.

You got a lot of nerve telling folks about the eighth grade when you told me that the 5th grade was your senior year!!
