"There simply had to be a better way to get line on a rod than how we've always done it with our fingers," said RTD inventor Patrick Marchese, who was inspired to find a solution by his own struggling moments with the process.
That whole "walking and chewing bubble gum" thing must have been tough for him, too.

You know, for me it probably isn't that big of a deal however, the older I get and the worse my eyes and hands get, the more I could see this being a useful tool. My dad would have some use for it. The only problem I would have is trying to find it when I need it! I think I might spend more time looking for it then it would take to just do it.

It will be a niche type of product. Tournament BASS anglers that are constantly respooling rods, reels, and so on, would find it particularly useful. The average angler might not necessarily find a need for it nor will the guy that keeps his rods rigged for different things.

ICAST is pretty cool with some of the stuff you get to see and hear about. If you are star struck by people (which I am not) then you would find it fun to go and rub elbows with some of them.

“The sport’s most frustrating process?” That’s amazing! Do you just throw it at the jet ski?

    That's why it's a 2 pack!!!!!!
I wonder if it works with micro guides?
I have a few Denali rods with micro guides, when it's cold, cold frozen fingers wind blowing, and chop on the water 50-200 other boats close by on pool 4 of the Mississippi in January February March. Or May for our Walleye opener. This may be useful to have. Ymmv!

Same for me. Of course, none would be in the boat when needed. I have always had a great memory and remember where things are.

The last few years I've lost a few items. I always joke that I put them where I could find them and someday I'll find everything I'm missing all in one spot.

I've also been prone to purchasing 3 or 4 of something knowing I own it but doubt I can find it. In the end, I can't find any of the stuff. Not that I remember what it was I thought I had.

Eventually the neighbors find me wandering in their back yard in my underwear and return me to my owner.

You missed the chance at the Fireworks stand to get Ammo for firing shots across the Bow -- special rod holder with PVC Rocket holders that Pivots and fire a couple where it is pointed

Dad always told me, one day you will find out! The most difficult part of a fishing day is threading a rod or tying a simple lure on. Guys when you get over 60 you will find that the simple things are difficult...

I got a fishing partner that's got Parkinson. I think I've found him a Christmas present.
