You have many more crappie to catch, and a long runway ahead. My story is almost identical to yours, only 18 years ago. December 2000, stress test, catheter, bypass, All in less than 2 days. I haven't missed a beat in now almost 18 years. Annual checkups with my heart doctor, always great. I still do the treadmill stress tests, and I was 68 in June.
ask your doctor at next check up if they still ice you down during the surgery. Back in 2000, St Thomas in Nashville, they used ice to pull your body temp down during, or just after the procedure. Iced down like a 2 pound slab !
