Have always used Mr Crappie rods for jigging and love them.
The joker is my go-to bait. Never lets me down. I use it with a 8'6" Mr. Crappie rid and reel. Nice set up.

I like the design of the Mr. Crappie sausage head jigs.

I like Mr crappie line as long as it’s a fresh roll it’s about as stought as it gets! I also reel the line through a wet rag with tight pressure when spooled and that cuts out the memory!
My solo reel is a great reel for jig fishing.

I used to use Tangle Free line conditioner 20-30 yrs ago and have found it again. It works. I was told it was some kind of soap, like octagon? Cannot remember for sure. Here is the only website I have found. I was up in Celina, TN a few weeks ago and picked up 2 bottles. I would call them and ask to reduce the shipping, because it is as much as the product. I paid them on the spot and they shipped it to me, because they had to get it out of storage. Good stuff. I have taken bait casters, after setting up all winter, put a few drops of Tangle Free on the spool. No curls, lays flat and cast farther. https://punisherlures.com/products/t...-line-dressing
