Do you disconnect the TM from the batteries when charging? Your charger may be producing a voltage spike that’s frying your head unit.
Went fishing today and my ipilot will not turn on. No lights no sound. Batteries fully charged. This happened 6 months ago and they replaced the power head. At that time it was only 8 months old. Any ideas why this keeps happening?

I test my battery light before I leave the house. One time I had good batteries and no light. Found an Oxidized/corroded splice that was causing the problem.

Does the "fob" turn on?????
if it doesn't, remove the battery, energy cell, check voltage, if OK, with a pair of tweezers, gently pull up on the center spring, which makes contact on the "+" side of the energy cell, then with the contacts that make contact with the side of the energy cell, form them in to make better contact. Be gentle with the contact points.
I was having problems with my remote, and would not turn on unless I jarred the fob, or turn off at the most distressing times. This cured my problems.
Had the same problem a while back and found the problem to be a bad connection in the power supply. We pulled the head off and had current where it came into the motor but not enough to run the motor.

Did the power light even come on when yours did that?

Remote is fine. My motor’s power light doesn’t even light up so I think it’s the power head again.
