I have a Ego Reach net that is hard to get the last section to extend out of the main handle. It's not bent nor does it have any bad spots on it. Anyone had any issues with these nets?

I had one that did the same thing, not sure what caused it. Went on there website filled out a warranty claim and they sent me a new one, no questions asked.. Great company No issues since with the new one. It has a 5 lb limit when fully extended. I'm very cautious with the occasional catfish or other non crappie now. It could be stressed very easily. Good net though for its intended purpose.

I have had an EGO Slider for years. The handle quit working long after warranty expired. I called them to ask them was there anyway to take the handle apart and fix it....they told me no but sent me a brand new handle the next day.

Ive been having the same issues. I’ll try the silicone spray, but if that doesn’t work I may contact them and see what they say.

I drill a hole in the rubber handle on the end and spray inside the shaft. Dirt will build up and spraying inside seems to help me best. I do it to both of my reach nets and my other larger EGO net.

Drilling a hole in the rubber end cap is the best tip I can give you about these otherwise great nets. I have no idea why they do not come with a hole in the end cap. It really needs a drain hole because water WILL get in the handle over time. When I finally drilled mine, some really foul smelling water came out. Then I dried it out, sprayed it with WD-40, and have had no further problems.

Thanks for all the info. I did drill a drain hole a couple weeks ago. Seemed to help some but still catches some. I'll try the silicone spray.
