This really depends on how you fish . I cast most of the time so I have to go with more than one. 1/32 oz jig and Bobby garland of some kind , marabou jig and a small float. A good 6ft light rod with 4lb line. With those few things I can do some damage. After that a boat with good elec.

"What is something you won't crappie fish without?"
I won't go without tangling at least 2 of my 12' rods so bad that I have to cut the line and re-tie! And some baby shad swimr's

Road Runners (1/16oz marabou - pink)

1/16oz weedless jigheads & plastics of my choice (mostly Panfish Assassins & Slabanator Shad)

Done a lot of damage to the Crappie populations of several lakes with these

1 3/4 Crappie Thunder by Mr. Crappie in Monkey Shine color. I catch with others but this is the one I have most confidence in.

Just bought some of the baby shad, this forum has me on high alert

I would also think having some minnows would be good

one thing I always bring is food, I fish with a 16 year old who eats constantly

Arkie Pro sickle hook jig heads in 1/16 ounce (available at Walmart), and a Bobby garland baby shad. Colors dependant on water clarity.
