Yes indeed. I have many posts on here with my daughter through the years. She married this last summer and the song she picked for our dance was She Thinks Were Just Fishin. Enjoy the time with your daughter, before you know you will be dancing with her at her wedding.

Well—mixed emotions for me. I always loved to fish but seldom could squeeze in good father/daughter time as I was in the military for a long time. I rue the trade off except my job paid for her college (with no debt) so it had some value. I am so proud of folks like you that take the time to share our great hobby with our kids and continue the life of fishing. Thank you for your post from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the kind words. I let Net Girl read the comments before school. They made her feel pretty big for a first grader. She especially liked the comment made by Special K - she smiled a big smile, but made a "blagggg" sound at the thought of getting married and dancing at a wedding. Sorry huntinslabs. Candy and fishing and playing are way more important to a 7 year old than boys and weddings - thank goodness.

Yea, just wait about 8 years and get back to me on that one. Enjoy the time with her. I know I sure enjoyed it, and from listening to my daughter today it meant the world to her.

My son never cared for fishing but we hunted together all the time. My grandson 8 is another story. He loves to fish and I hope we have many days together fishing.

It does me good to see fathers and sons and daughters spending quality time together. I don't have any grandchildren and my son passed away before he got married so it is just me and a couple buddies that I fish with. I miss not having children to take fishing and hunting. Thanks for sharing

The very same song was our Daddy Daughter Dance at my youngest daughters reception. I didn't do very well but she did fine. I can't listen to it on the radio, a very good memory.
