    Thumbs up Slabsauce experiment

So I've know that slabsauce stays on your jigs for many casts, and I've always told myself to just re-spritz it every 12 casts, but I've never really tested the theory. It was a calm day this morn and the waters would show the oil on the surface of the water real good, so I thought I'd try it out and take a few pics. I'll admit, I did not just spray it one time, I spritzed the heck out of the jig. And sure enough, it amazed me how long the Slabsauce stays visible coming off the bait.

I'm telling you 100% these pics are accurate. This was all done continuously with a Pico Ringed Pointer. 12 casts, splashed, 12 more, splashed, and then 6 more, and splashed. Past that amount of casts, I could still see a little oil in the splashes, but really could not get it to show good in a pic. Try this experiment yourself and see. I'll admit the casts were not maxed out (so to speak). They were casual casts I would normally do, roughly 35-45 feet (I just paced it off in my yard to see how long they really were).

This is all on top the fact that if you use slabsauce on a jig, it's still oily to the touch for a heck of a long time, even days later, even after it's been used a bunch of times. The stuff stays on for sure.

And I can't say enough about the Pico Scent Rings, they are a big reason the scent stays on so long. If you have not checked them out, do yourself a favor and get yourself some.
