With the divorce rate the way it is family friendly is clearly not in vogue.

I do like the lack of political and off topic comments here. For many of us fishing is a way to get away from the dirty nasty society we inhabit. Being outdoors is good for the soul.

Wish I could convince people to leave their radios and other noise makers turned off. I guess everyone has their own ideas about pollution.

Parts of the internet are cesspools but it has to go somewhere I guess.

Several issues today. Many of todays people feel the need to comment about everything. Read an article, theres a comment section below it. Got a snide comment, you can tell it to the world in 144 characters or less. This used to be reserved for conversations around the local greasy spoon coffee table.

    Why does this site work?
    1. We don't have an agenda!
    2. We are like minded people
    3. We respect others thoughts feelings and opinions
    4. We value others views even if they don't match ours
    5. Instead of snide comments, we live by the old motto our parents taught us "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.
    6. We police ourselves. All of our moderators are active members looking for the well being of others.

Sometimes we might say something we think is ok but our moderators know and understand that, although borderline, it could be taken out of context. They provide a much needed filter.

We are aloud to kid one another, give our opion in a friendly professional manner, and we value and accept others ideas and opinions

I agree you could ruin a fishing website by having an agenda. Right now political agendas are killing my favorite forums.

So I see on the news that a major advertiser is taking a stand. Unilever is not gonna spend their dollars on those trash promoting companies anymore. Well someone needs to tell them about Crappie.com. Anyone here work at Unilever? If so tell them to send some of those advertising dollars to this 100% family friendly website. If more sites like ours remain successful it'll send a message to the whole industry that good clean family friendly fun still has a place in this world!

Most of you that visit other sites know that I'm not found there. I've been to a lot of them, including some put on by some of the big time pros of the industry. I've never felt as at home on a site as I do here, and have put the others aside. I work a 12 hour day and have no time for what doesn't work. This works in such a fine way, as many have spoken and I can't expand on. I tell many of this site and kid friendly is one of the first things I mention. The second family that I have found here is just the Icing on the cake. From Slab to the newbie that just joined, I thank you every one for this which I so enjoy. Nuff said. Y'all rock!
