but then again if you mean timber doodling fast as I read it closer in some cases and in some spots at certain times of the year it can be productive to go fast there as well with a similar type of presentation without a float vertically in timber ....just saying

its a fine art and you have to know your fish and some wont give it second glance if you are popping cork your jigs , but in many spots I hit you want to jerk and dive and pop the float like stupid and let it sit one or maybe 2 seconds after about 4 or 5 of those ....if you do it right it will go down like a rock at about a half second after its stands still .
Na Ketchn, I just did a poor job of explaining what I am talking about. What I see a lot of takes place at a marina. A lot of new anglers will walk up to a stall drop jig down to bottom lift up out of water then straight back down 3 or 4 times as fast as they can go. Then off to the next stall. They will fish 50 stalls in lest than 10 min, mean while someone will go right behind them just killing em. Sometimes there's a kid involved and I just always wanted to say u need to slow down, but don't think it's my place to tell someone who doesn't ask.
Seems everyone these days are selling dreams, I'm just to cheap to buy one!

oh yeah bro . one thing for certain and especially in the winter . super slow and patient will wax em
seen the same thing a zillion times myself ...guy beside me the other day a prime example ...
working fast back and forth and up and down ...
i dropped in right by him and stood still like a statue and hammered a really big crappie and had to tell him best stand clear bro this fish is about be getting some big air in your direction ....LOL
one fella the day before was watching me windmill fish and couldn't get bit and was jiggity like crazy and sad he couldn't get a bite and i reached over and grabbed his rod and STOP it ....they wont bite a jig doing that . you have to hold it VERY still this time of year ....
the EXACT second i let go of his rod after the conversation he got whacked .....
