Been boating for most of my life and all of my kids lives. I starting fishing seriously maybe 4 years ago. That proposed the problem of life jackets being left in "the other boat". To combat this I bought each child their own life jacket. They are responsible for taking care of and bringing their own life jacket with them. After all it is a personal flotation device. It gives them ownership and no more musty smelling jackets from leaving them on the boat.

I looked last night. I purchased an "Overton's" jacket for my daughter. Neoprene, with a full jip and then two buckles. When they are younger, I recommend the jackets with a strap that goes through the crotch area as it is made to keep the jacket from riding up above their head.
