Lookin' good, Darryl. It looks like y'all had some big ol' dark males in the mix. Them boys look like they know how to eat 'em too...:D
Today Jerry and I did a combo trip. He caught more than me but I had the big'uns.
I also wanted to say that I used slab_slayer1's Jawbreaker Jigs today and the crappie we slamming pretty hard. Good jigs, well made.

Taking pictures keeps me insane!
I'm jealous, nice catches there, Mister
The one I used yesterday was a 1/32nd. white head, red body and char tail. I didn't loose a fish all day yesterday which usually happens when using a light-weight jig with a really small hook. Well, Jason made these for me with the light head and a larger sickle hook and they are sharp.Originally Posted by TJ Adams
We need some rain or something here to stain up the water a little. Right now we've got a good 3-foot and in some places 5-foot clear visibility. Yesterday, on more than one occasion, I would be drifting into the back of a cove and we'd watch at least a dozen crappie darting out into deeper water. They could see us coming. And what few did stay were real tight to the sparse cover. The fun thing was, every one that did hit that shallow you could see them come out and hit the jig.

Hey Darryl, That would be cool to see! Here the best we can hope for is about 1 1/2 to 2 foot visability. It does make for exciting shallow water jiggin' though! Your only in 1 to 2 feet of water and you drop your jig down by a stick-up and get slammed by a 1 3/4 lb male! That's why I like my Stren Hi-Vis Gold. I usually watch my line where it enters the water.
The old eyes ain't what they used to be!
