How long does the pain in the chest hang around sir ?

Mine was pretty much gone after the 3day hospital stay .... so, total time of serious pain was around 5days. I got a couple of Heparin shots while in the hospital, and they hurt worse than the PE pain. Then they gave me the Lovenox starting right at discharge from the hospital, then a pack of them to self administer while at home. They left bruises, but the pain of administering them wasn't anywhere near what the Heparin shot was ... nowhere near. Once those were all done, then the Warfarin tabs therapy started and ran for a couple of months. I was pretty much able to do whatever, once home from the hospital ... even while doing the Lovenox injections and Warfarin tablets. I just had to be careful not to cut myself very badly .... which was a relief after having been previously under "house arrest" by my medical team while doing the home injections of antibiotics (for the pneumonia episode).

Glad to hear that they found it and got it right the first time. I know for a fact that all of us are elated that you'll still be around as we enjoy your posts. However, the fish............Not so much. Gods will Brother.

Man that's tough news Outlaw! going to hospital while the body mechanics Guess what is wrong with you is tough limbo for the family and friends who love you. Glad it is PE as it can be treated effectively while the C word creates all kinds of different issues.

I'm not a doctor but did recruit them and go to conventions and impersonate doctors quite a bit for fun so MY considered treatment is go to a easy access dock, sit in a chair over some brush and do some crappie Ketchn on a sunny day. That is the ticket.

I feel somewhat ok and hit a dock yesterday and a pond today ...couldn’t get much cooperation on the dock , but the pond gills I went after were nice size and somewhat cooperative....I bet I find a good sized crappie soon .....slowed me up some it did ...
