Great idea. Maybe we can all chip in and get Mrdux a set.
Recently Canepole started a thread called "The most important tool in your tackle box" talking about sun-screen. He shared how he is undergoing some painful reminders of this fact, and I agree with him. But I think many will agree that the tool shown below is the second most important tool to have close at hand.
Ask anyone who has had a hook buried in a sensitive part of their body (and all the parts are sensitive) who is trying to cut the point of a hook beyond the barb with the cutter on the needle nose pliers they keep handy how important a REAL set of cutters are.
A set of this type of pliers will make a great gift during the up-coming gift-giving season for a fishing buddy who is known for impaling him or her self in the pursuit of our favorite sport fish.

Old enough to know better and way too old to care!shipahoy41, Quailtail thanked you for this post
Boomerang tool "The Snip" best line cutters EVAH!
I ended up in emergency room a few years ago with a top water plug buried in my back. Three hooks buried deep! Ruined what was turning into a great top water day.
mighty LIKED above post
I was up in Park Falls at St Croix and asked for some good line cutters
They suggested Boomerang. They put on a lot of line and have used theirs for a few yrs
I couldn't be happier, best cutters I've ever had, braid or what ever.
Smart business Clint. I've been to the hospital to have two removed and both were small and no one knew anything other than what we did. I have a couple of pairs of those you show and they are tough. I also agree that most needle nose pliers that are designed to do many things are usually cheap, mostly because we are. If we buy a tool that is made of steel that will rust in the boat, and we paid good money for it, we tend to leave it home and take the cheaper ones that we wouldn't mind replacing. My thought is to get an ammo can and keep what you value, tool wise, inside it. Mine has been in my boat for a lot of years and the weather seal does it's job just fine. Point here is that an emergency kit should be with all of us, too many testimonies to it's value to argue.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Which boomerang makes , the best line cutters, don't know about the cutters for hooks
After seeing BIGBADDAD with a big treble and 2 of the 3 hooks buried in his ankle with a large blue catfish attached, I bought a pair of lineman's side cutters and put them in the boat for no other reason than to cut hooks off. Hate to say I've had to use them more times than I like to admit. Luckily all the hooks have been in me.
