I have been using cane for crappie tops for the last several months because I have a source and it is easier to handle. Have caught fish off of them but never in good numbers. I have heard that crappie are repelled from cane, that there is something about it that they find objectionable. Does any one have any experience or an opinion? Thanks.

I have been planning on putting some out using river cane but haven't yet did not know there was any issues with it, I'll keep an I on this post to see if anyone know for sure.

The only time that I know crappie have an objection to cane is when a hook, line, and sinker is attached
