Hot fishing

Yep, it's hot, darn hot, real hot, so hot I can cook in my shorts and do some crotch pot cooking. Seriously it's three am and it's 85 degrees here in South Florida. I just got back from throwing a fly in the golf course pond behind my house and nothing. Not even a bluegill. It's three in the morning and I am sweating. Generally I can count on some fish at Odark thirty but I swear you can poach an egg in that water and nothing is biting. I will trade in the fly rod for some jigs tomorrow, but it is grim.

Sounds serious. It's 77 here. Last night at this time of was 90.it's hot as - - - - here also. At least u are close to a beach. Lol ?

Carolina heat will turn you into a nightstalker like many of us. I have a friend who gets up at 3 am and goes and is back home by 7 am. Always has fish to clean. Better air to breath, no sun screen to put on and no boat traffic or jet skiers. If I were younger and not working I would do it too! My sons try to keep me out all night. I need to recuperate a couple of days it seems.
Go early or later and enjoy it while you can!
