Every snake is a 10ft king cobra python to me. Only good snake is a dead snake.

Snakes don't bother me much, as a kid my neighbor and I had a collection of snakes and we kept them in cages in his side yard next to my drive. I think that summer we had like 32 snakes. Had Moccasin, Coral, Chicken, Hognose, Copper Head, Mud Snake and many more. We fed them all and the big mud snakes we found and caught a bunch of eels in a ditch for him, lol! A fork stick is all you need to handle a snake, trap him and get a good hold behind his head and he's yours then!

Have had a snake get my fish as well, but on a stinger back in my youth and it was a Moccasin.

That shot is a excellent photo shot and not one I suspect many have seen, a snake bitting a fish on the end of someone's fishing line, lol!

Had a channel cat on a chain stringer, a few weeks ago. I was fishing with my back to the stringer, but I hear a ruckus, turn around and see water stirring up. I pull the chain up and a water snake had latched on to my channel cat. The cat was flinging and turning (as much as he could with a hook in his lip), the snake was slinging around, but keeping his tail close to the rocks on shore. I picked up a small rock, tapped his tail with the rock, and he let go and swam away. Darndest thing I ever saw! And yes, I am 100% serious!
