Over the holiday with them letting a little water go from Ouachita, I was seeing the bottom in crystal clear water that was 15ft deep. And I don't mean just seeing hints of the bottom, it was like looking through a window as you could see everything. Even a half mile down or so where we were fishing for Walleye, but catching hybrids, I could see a spinning rig 6 foot down, no problem.
If the water is that clear I believe I would use maybe the green braid with long mono leader or mono by itself. Maybe even down size my line from 10 pound to 6 or maybe even 4 pound if I thought it helped! I also would use a lot of Blue and White baits or Silver and FL Blue baits.

how long should I make the fluro leader?

I use hi vis yellow braid here for crappie fishing and walleye fishing. We slay the piss out of both when the getting is good. IMO line color doesn't affect fish like so many people think it does.
