    Default Motor guide xi5

Thinking about buying xi5 for anchor mode. All I will probably ever use it is for single pole on brushpiles and offshore stuff. I have a 17.5 ft champion. Do I need 24v or would 12v with 55lb be enough. Mostly lake fishing only.
    thanks

The bigger the better but get what you can afford.

Works really good for fishing brushpiles, especially the jog feature. It works better in anchor mode when there's a steady breeze, and I've had it out in 35mph winds and it did very well in holding on spot.id suggest 24 volt system that way you have plenty of power, but like chanc said it's what you can afford.

I have a 24 volt XI5 on a Ranger Reata 186, If you can go with the 24 volt system.

I have always heard "if over 16 ft. it's always 24 " . Package deals are subject to being light on trolling / big motors . jmo.

I have a 19 ft. Champion and a 24 volt xi5. Trust me , go with the 24 volt or you will have buyers remorse latter. Also go replace the safari 2 blade prop with the machete 3 prop.
