Best thing, no cords to cut through. Did that one time and almost had a heart attack. Let's see, cleaning fish, sink, running water, electric filet knife. Who would have thought? I will tell you, i havent cleaned enough fish in one sitting to go through both of the batteries, almost, but not both.

I'll have to convince my wife that somehow it'll be good for her (it'll help me get home sooner?). Otherwise I don't have a chance! Truth is, I need it 'cause most of the places I clean fish don't have power!

My favorite is the "STORM" electric knife. Has long cord and feels great in your hand. Comes with short blaces but the longer Mr. Twister blades fit it also. Found mine at ACADEMY

I just bought a cheap electric American Angler that hooks to a 12 v.battery with clamps or plugs into a cig. lighter. I wasnt gonna spend a fortune to find out I didnt like using one since I figgered I'd ruin alot of fish. Fact is it's pretty easy using one. I bought a brand new one from Ebay at half price for the same knife that walmart sells. Folks on Ebay are giving $50 (plus shipping) left and right for the same rapala set you can buy at walmart for $39.95 which has two sets of blades and runs off 12 v. or electricity. If I tear up that American Angler that Rapala will be my next knife.

I just bought the Rapala cordless rechargeable haven't used it yet. My favorite is a Black and Decker from Wal-Mart. It has a round handle and is perfect for turning fillets off with just a twist of your wrist.
