There was a express on craiglist for about two months, I watched it and wanted to go look but was about 400 miles away. 2016 with a great price and he dropped it another $1000 and by the time I called it was gone, but it had a great floor layout with the livewell on the side which opened up the hold boat. Really a good looking boat, I am like another post the war eagle is a great boat. There is a place in Andalusia Al that builds stick steer and will build to order. They have a web site andauusiamarina.com might look at it to get ideas. They are building very nice stick steer boats now. Like I said I am 70 and would have to try to fall out of my boat. I like the fact that I don't move around once in the water and if you shoot docks they are perfect because you have a low angle to shoot from. Not for everyone but I love mine.

My brother bought a G3 stick boat and we love it. Very stable, handles great, loads and unloads like a dream. Has a yama 4 stroke and rides all day on a tank of fuel.
    I can't, I'm fishing.

I have a stick steer....and Xtreme SS1454...it is 14.5 feet long with a 54 inch bottom. I went that route as I wanted to sit down in the boat...no more decks for me. I went with a custom builder as I could not find the width I wanted in the length I needed to fit in my garage. It may only be a 14.5 foot boat but it has a lot of room due to the width. It is .125 and built like a tank. I will probably never get another boat....but if I did it would be their Brute series with a 60 inch bottom on a 16 foot boat made with .190 aluminium. As for it being a rough ride up front...yes it was....until I purchased a Smooth Moves suspension seat. There are a lot of good boats out there...but you are not going to find a 54 or 60 inch bottom stick steer boat on a marine dealers floor. Lot of stick steer boats but very few of them have the width.

    Regards

I have a war eagle 754vs. Love it. My balance and mobility is starting to suffer so I feel much safer down inside the boat. Everything is rigged where I can get to it from front seat. My issue with it is the clearance between front seat and shifter and steering stick. Both sides are pretty tight getting legs that don't want to work just right past them. If considering stick steer that is the first area I would look at. Mine has side live well and rod storage. Good solid boat and very fishable. They now make that boat in a tiller model and if buying new is what I would get.

Well I'm 82 and always fish alone. When theres a good chop on the water with whitecaps I still go.
But I wouldn't want much less boat than my 1720 Key West sportsman for that unless it was the bay boat model.
I often think I might be better off with a different boat, until I put the bow up and head right into the chop/whitecaps.
Then I'm glad to have what ive got.
