Anyone use jerk baits for crappie?

My Father is a jerkbait specialist he fish's the Bomber Long A "gold/Orange belly suspending,The rapala count down,Huskey Jerk gold/orange suspending and catches some big crappie out of a hard to crappie fish lake that only has little ones's "so says the local's "LOL.We caught a limit yesterday"Arkansas" this time of year with the shad being stunted from cold water.Can catch your biggest crappie of the year.

Bought some Bomber Long A's in some killer crappie colors at the boat show for 3 bucks each. I thought that was a deal.

The ones I got were a diving model tho.

I've caught quite a few white perch while bass fishing in the spring. Back before the suspending Rouge came out I'd use lead wire on the hooks to make 'em suspend to the point it would take 15 to 25 seconds to surface. If there was a white perch or bass by a laydown, they couldn't help but hit that ole Rouge just hanging there.

Just ordered some Zoom Flukes will try them this summer.

Those Zoom tiny flukes are some killer baits. When fishing rip rap I simply take a #6 mosquito hook and hook the fluke thru the eyes. Just work it weightless along a shallow water rip rap bank and it is killer on crappie. I love using the pearl white ones but they are hard to find.

I have caught crappie on big jerk baits when bass fishing but it's not all the time. Now the small CD Rapala's work pretty well at times. I think I've seen some videos on YouTube about this subject be sure to check them out

Not a jerk bait but I've caught plenty on Culprit 7.5" Worms - Tomato only. Crappie go bonkers for them.
Also Bass Pro Shops Tournament Series Squirmin' Worm - 4'' in Tomato Core also.
