I saw them at Academy for $49 12-16 footers. Was wondering if anyone had used them for rigging? How are they?

We bought 2 a few weeks ago. They don't have as much backbone as our Tightline Specials but they still worked fine for the price. We used the 16'ers. Plenty to horse a large fish on board but noticeable difference when spider rigging and they're in the holder beside other rods.
I can't, I'm fishing.Achiro thanked you for this post
They were definitely lighter though...

Can't speak to the specific models you mention, but I am a fan of Allstars rods. Used a couple of different models for Salmon/steelhead fishing in the Northwest. With many years of use, they performed and held up perfectly.

Yeah, when I lived on the coast they were the rod of choice for most folks I fished with. Just wondering if these had the spine to spider rig.
Buy Southern Crappie for that price..
I've got 4 of the 16' rods and I've really enjoyed having them in my boat so far. I typically run 8 rods, and plan to replace my other 4 14' rods with the Allstars as soon as I get a little extra play money put back.

They are made in China not in Houston, Texas . For what it's worth
