I just ordered me one of these. I bought another one last year that had a little suction cup thingy that I got at Cabela's that would kinda stick to a smooth surface.worked like this, but pretty cheesy setup.
This little invention has never allowed line twist since I started using it. Take a look.

I also troll at all speeds, this has not caused line twist for me. I always use a loop knot and troll with tube and marabou jigs. Some of the hard body jigs if not hooked right will surely twist. Also trash will also. A old trick I use to get it out is when I break off I let the line drag a few minutes, this will let the twist out
Hey minnowtime, what do you mean by slipping of the drag? you mean turning off the drag or winding WHILE the drag is on?
Plus, these type heads will run deeper when using lighter jig heads as opposed to round. Running (2) 1/16 oz double rig, will run about about the same depth as (2) 1/8 oz round heads with almost same line out, for those days when the fish want a smaller jig. Never have any problem twist with so I dunno bout that one OP.. probably a line issue if I had to guess.

I always run my line through a wet wash cloth held in my hand for the desired tension as I spool it.i use nothing but round heads and have no problem with line twist. Sounds like those slimmers was your problem.
Too blessed to be stressed!
I too have a lot of line twist. I've spooled the line on spinning reels label up,label down and rolled it off the spool of line. I use to take the jig off after each trip ,pull out about 100' of line and let it go,you can see it untwisting. I catch a goo d many small fish that twirl when you bring them in and carry folks that don't stop reeling when the drag is slipping. Speed ranges from .8-1.0. I started using a size 10 swivel and it helps, I tie it on about a foot from the jig. Vicious and Wally marshal 4 lb. seems like I have more twist on the 12 foot rods

Drag slippage happen when hung up or while landing a fish if you keep reeling. The drag is to let line out while landing a fish and not break the line. Best if you check the drag setting before each fishing trip. Stops line twist and reduces broken lines.
I break line off often when pulling. I ain't got nuf sense to know the line broke. Good side to this is that pulling the line thru the water without lure keeps the twist out. Loose one win one.

I too have problems with line twist, I've tried almost everything already mentioned: one thing that's help with twisting is on my longer rods I've gone to 2000 and 2500 series spinning reels bigger spools and line doesn't seem to twist as bad on the longer spools. Drag being to loose and winding in while the drag is slipping also can cause twist, also trash on your lure pine straw, pieces of grass or leaves will cause major twist also, to remedy this we run the tips (1st eye) in the water on our back rods help keep trash away. This year I've started using small swivels and that seem to be the best help for keeping the twist out and also keep most trash from getting to your jig which also is a good thing.
If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D
