Vicious and never looked back.
You and Slabprowler musta got into a bad bunch of Vicious, somehow .... I've been using Vicious Panfish 6# hi-vis for quite a few years, and never experienced it being weak or prone to breakage. In fact, it seems to take a bit of effort to break off when snagged, even having to run the TM in the opposite direction in order to keep from pulling the boat over the cover I'm hung in.
I used to use Berkley Solar XT ... but found it a bit too stiff & prone to memory coils. But, that was back when I was first using colored line, and it was 8# test, which could have been a factor.
Whenever I start seeing my Vicious getting twisted or memory coils set in from being stored for long periods .... I just take it out and tie it off & walk off about 75ft of loose line, then pull & hold it for about 10sec's & repeat the pull & hold a second or third time. Then I cut it loose and reel it back in thru the grass, putting tension on the line with my thumb/finger. The pull/hold usually limbers the line up, relaxes the coils out of it, and dragging it thru the grass takes the twist out, while reeling it back on under tension wraps it tight on the reel ... which makes for easier & longer casts. I usually don't have to do this more than once or twice a year. And I don't usually re-spool with new Vicious line but about every 3yrs.

Vicious and never looked back.
Guess I'll have a go with some of that Vicious.... been using 6# Suffix in tangerine.... no complaints....
I tried #8 vicious yellow today. First time using hi vis line. Water temp was 42 & I'm new to spider rigging but I do believe the hi vis line helped me pick up on bites that moved the line but no tip bounce. I also had some florescent blue #8 trilene. I had two rods with each color & both caught about the same number of fish. The yellow was easier for me to see than the blue.
what kind of suffix & test #. Is it mono? or thanks.......
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....
