True but when it's tax deductible it doesn't hurt nearly as bad.

Ice Armour Extreme is what we use up here in Michigan. Padded knees, padded seat area, waterproof, wind proof, floats.

You may also want to look into the Frabil suits as well. With the Ice Armour Extreme, sizes run as normal. IE, if you are a Large, order a Large.

I sure wished the floats was true but I don't see any mention of these Ice Armours floating. ICEARMOR Ice Fishing Clothing & Apparel

Read the reviews at Dicks Sporting Goods.

I have 2 sets of it. Bought a XL set 5 or so years ago. Picked up a set for my wife a few weeks ago. It was her Christmas Gift. Its been used 3 trips so far. Not going to say its better than the others. But know of a few people that used other brands. But after trying out Artic-Armor they swapped to AA. My XL set weights in less then most jackets do. The Large set I got my wife ( I can fit into them if need be) weights in at 7 lbs with the box. So to start out there lite weight. Will float you and still handle 2 guys to keep all three of you safe. Its warm and does the job. Last week highs were 30 degrees. 10 to 12 MPH winds and drizzling rain. I had on bluejeans, Lone sleeve Carheart Tee Shirt. Lite weight jacket and the Artic-Armor. And had the jacket unzipped most of the day. Let a guy wear my set the next trip. I sneaked my wife's set out and used them. When we were loading the boat up. This guy told me it was unreal. First time ever fishing in cold temps. That he could move easy, did not have on way to much. But also had to unzip the jacket some.
Again there may be better. But see if will keep you Dry, Warm and Also float you.

I have the artic armor special edition blue suit.I dont think it is a magic bullet. The ability to stop the wind is excellent.60 mph in 30+ degrees is amazing.Have never tested the ability to float. The waterproofness is imho lacking. Some adds say water repellant, some say waterproof.I have not found this suit to be waterproof.A friend has the same suit and takes blood thinners and to him it is not warmer than other clothes he has tried .For me it keeps me warm and I like it.Mine is 4 or 5 years old.Fished 4 hours saturday @ 23 degrees no problems.
