South Georga, North Florida. Easy drive to multiple Crappie lakes. Atlantic and Gulf coasts. St. John's river. The list goes on. Just get a little warm in the summer.

I lived in Ohio for over 56 years. Lots of cold weather, huge snow, hard water and small Crappie. I retired 15 years ago and we moved to Alabama. Warm weather, no snow, a small crappie here is 11 inches....and NO HARD WATER. Fishing is excellent and a lot or tournaments are held here.

    Guntersville Lake
    Lay Lake
    Logan Martin Lake
    Smith Lake
    Wheeler Dam
Weiss Lake (Crappie Capital of the world)
    Neely Henry Lake

    and....
you are only about a two hour ride from Grenada Lake in Mississippi

Silverside, with retirement within site, I have been thinking the same thing. I have lived just off the Ross Barnett Rez. in central MS. for well over 20 years. Living this close to the lake has spoiled me, so wherever I retire it will be near, or on the water. This is a great area to live, may stay here, if not I will look into the Kentucky lake area. Florida is on my radar also.
