I hear that dialogue everywhere frequently and just continue on with my plan to ketch them . I have to see it myself is my thing . Sometimes it is like they say , but more often than not there is a bite if you stay with it .....if you do not try to ketch them you will never know for sure is also my thing .

I fish unless it's cracking lightning. Put in many 12 hour days even when nothing is happening.

NO SUCH THING AS ALL FISH ARE NOT BITTING,WILL BE SOME BITTING IF YOU CAN FIND THEM AND PRESENT BAIT RIGHT WAY.IT IS A GOOD TIME FOR LEARNING,TRYING DIFFERENT THINGS,BUT AGAIN WHEN SOME ARE SAYING FISH ARE NOT BITTING MEANS ABOUT AS MUCH TO ME AS FISH ARE BITTING,ANOTHER'S WAY OF FISHING CAN BE SO DIFFERENT THAN MINE,MY INTENT IS TO LEARN EITHER WAY ,BITTING GOOD OR VERY SLOW. I WILL LEAVE THEM BITTING AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO FISH TO TRY OTHER PLACES

The days when they "aren't biting" are the days you need to fish. Those days will make you fish hard and learn how to make inactive fish bite. There is almost always something that will trigger a few bites.

There is a tactical error in all this. You can't believe a word out of a fisherman's mouth!

Just kidding...or am I? I have been told numerous times "good luck you, you are gonna need it." Only to find out I caught fish anyway. I have to admit there are times of year such as hot summer stretches like we are in now, where I really struggle catching good crappie. That's when I switch to bluegills, and I can always catch big bull gills.

My sons and I always say, on a tough fishing day, "we know we can't catch fish from the couch!"

Go anyway! Few things in this life can beat a day on the water.

If I drive to another lake to fish I will stay and fish at least half a day. Due to health problems it is hard to fish all day. On my home lake which I live on I may fish from 1 hr to 5 hours. If I fish I am only looking for 6 to 10 keeper fish as I do not want anymore.
