Bass Pro 7' 6" micro lite. I carry 2 with me. One for cast & retreive and tight line and one with a slip bobber. Mine are so old they were $29 when I purchased them. I see the price has gone up again.

Yes, I was surprised they're now $60. BP usually puts them on sale a couple of times a year, though.

Might want to give a look at the ESP lineup of rods by Norsemen Outdoors. Power Lite rods | Shop | ESPā„¢ High Performance Ultra Light Rods by Norsemen Outdoors

Though, I would check with Grizzly Jigs to see if they have the one you're interested in purchasing, because they're about $10 cheaper than through the Norsemen Outdoors website. And, of course, Grizzly Jigs has an even further price reduction when you buy 3 rods. https://grizzlyjig.com/VirtualCatalog/#p=30

Bought a couple of the No. 8 Tackle Co. HellBent Panfish Spinning rods and could not be happier, apparently Gander Mountain has them on sale for $49, great rod at a great price. This is the model number of the rods I bought, HBPS7L

Cabelas sells a Fenwick Silverhawk in 6'6" for $99. If you watch they will put it on sale for $59. I have 2 and they are great for casting jigs up to 1/4 oz.

several rods already mentioned are great rods .....i like my Tica one pc. 7 foot ultralite best most of the time ,60 dollar range i think ? but to be sure i own a bunch of GREAT rods that cost less than 100 bucks and will ketch crappie to beat the band .....heck even a 15 dollar microlite Shakespeare 2 pc is a pretty good rod if you are budget minded ....and the Berkleys aint bad either at about 25 .......then there is the ABU vigilante line as well for about 40 or so .....
there are so many variables and so many good rods under 100 dollars its difficult to say what to recommend , best bet is to go handle a bunch of them and decide what suits your style and feels best in your hand is my thoughts on it ....Lews makes really good rods as well under a 100 .....

If your going to be throwing a lot of jigs you may want something in the 4-8 lb test range rod. I've always found UL's to be too floppy for a lot of jig throwing. They also lack sensitivity and hook setting power you need for jigs mainly because crappie rods in this price range typically have decades old technology and manufacturing techniques because the industry doesn't take crappie anglers as seriously as other anglers like bass or inshore salt. I personally use a 7 ft 2 piece lite Gander mountain rod with an IM8 blank that makes it a little faster and stiffer than most lites. I'd also use a lighter ML in the 4-8 lb test rating range. IN the specs look for a rod with the LOW end of lure weight range to be 1/16. A few ML rods are rated that low and I've always found them to be perfect jigs tossers. It's actually pretty hard to find rods in that weight category, but when you find em they are perfect crappie jig throwing rods.

If your interested in something with current technology built into it I'd try this rod. Defy Black 7'1 ML Spinning Rod*| 13 Fishing It actually won't be for sale till Nov 1st, but for only $60 it may be worth the wait. Interesting rod.

No. 8 Tackle Co. is the sister company of 13 Fishing, I also have a 13 Fishing Omen 6' 10" ML X-Fast that I use for Bass fishing, another great rod.

I think I read a few weeks back that you are new to crappie fishing, so I'll let you in a little secret. You don't need anywhere near a $100 crappie rod casting rod. A lot of advertising and wanna be pros might tell you different but its a lot of hype and "look how fancy I am". What Ketchn said about the Berkleys and Skeakspears is right on the money. Eventually they wear out, but not in most folks lifetime if you take care of them. Both of those rod and reel combos can be bought at Walmart for under 30 and are a great way to start until you learn what you like/need. Then you can spend the big money on a rod/reel and get the matching shirt and boat sticker.
If it's to deep to stand up and there is to much to drink, WEAR YOUR LIFE JACKET.
