I caught fish just like that out of the Red Sea...we called them "Needle Nose". Don't know what it is doing in fresh water though. The meat in them has a greenish tint but was very tasty. The ones we caught would jump and dance all over top of the water.

I went by FWC and a officer never did come out to look or speak to me about the catch......The secretary working there walk to the back and mention it, and she told me not uncommon...this is a land lock lake...lived her all my like and a first for me.......
They are a common fish in the Harris chain of Lakes in central Florida.
They are a PIA when fishing at night. They swarm your lights looking for the bait fish. They seem to be at all levels in the water column.
